  I went to rock point for a while when I lived nearby. I love love love their bands. The music is very uplifting and modern. I am not a fan of old slow hymns that you have to force yourself to get through, so this is so refreshing. The people are mostly very kind and welcoming. This area church is more "upscale" if you will. More the wealthier crowd of people. So if you aren't "like them" you will find a few go'ers who treat you as lower class. (Shame really). The main preacher is funny and typically has good message **intent.** Here is my issue though. The bible specifically calls out those who use Worldly wisdom to teach and instruct their flock. (It's a no no). This church tends to be just that, worldly wisdom. Again, great messages but they do not use scripture often to solidify the message. I am going to church to learn about Christ and all his wonder. Scripture is what we are supposed to be learning here, not your interpretation of what life should be. I returned to this church yesterday to show my husband their wonderful band and to give it one last chance, in hopes he preacher started to follow scripture more. No such luck. Music was great but he only used one example for scripture. Galatians. He also said he didn't want to get into the whole addressing the book to prevent offense? and "if you are bible people, you'll know this answer????" Bible people? Aren't we as Christian supposed to be? Aren't we supposed to be reading and following the bible? It's almost like a convention for how to be a kinder people without involving Christ at all. Upsetting to say the least.

  I love this church! It's warm, inviting, the people are friendly, there's food and great music, and the preaching is bible based and grace centered. It's all-around a great church!

  We've been there a reason weeks, while the sermon is good, the feeling of going to a movie is not something we are use to. We wanted to join a small group; they placed us in a group, without asking about commitments, and we can't go to the small group because of Royal Rangers. So our search for a new church continues.
